ABOUT

I currently hold a Masters of Science in Integrative Nutrition from NCNM in Portland, OR and Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics from New York University. The majority of my life was spent on the east coast in NYC and its suburbs until I relocated to Portland, Oregon to pursue my passion for integrative health (and snowboarding). After 3 years of school and private practice I am now back on the east coast, bringing my passion for nutrition with me. I have worked with a variety of healthcare practitioners ranging from acupuncturists, ND's, NP's and MD's complementing their practice and helping their patients make dietary changes in their busy and demanding lives in both Portland and New York. I am a member of the American College of Nutrition and continue to develop healthy recipes and protocols that help people promote their own health and happiness and find balance in their lives.

MY WHY

I spent years living what I thought was a healthy life but there were too many days where I felt down, overwhelmed and downright depressed or "off". I ate a healthy diet and lived an active lifestyle but there just felt like something was missing, I wasn't really happy.

Eventually I realized that I was just going through the motions; I wasn't really connected to what my body was telling me it needed. Fast forward a few years and I took everything that I had learned, reset my mind and started fresh. I started really nourishing my body and I found the happiness I was looking for with a new energy and passion for holistic nutrition and holistic living. Being healthy is not just a fad, but about a complete lifestyle overhaul. It is more than the latest trendy diet, group workout class, and even physical looks.

When you take care of yourself, you are creating your best health insurance policy and improving your relationship with not only yourself but others as well. You will notice the changes and so will everyone else. Living a truly healthy lifestyle will help put both your mind and body at ease. It will help you lose weight if you want to, find a way to deal with food allergies/intolerances, reduce your stress level, and increase your overall wellbeing. Food nourishes both the body and the soul if you let it.

Don't get me wrong, this does not mean that I never indulge. I definitely do. But I truly enjoy these indulgences more than I did before and with less guilt. The reason I am not going into my own specifics is because it doesn't matter. There is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to a healthy lifestyle. My goal is to fit each person with the tools to create their own healthy lifestyle - one that compliments your lifestyle, personality and individual goals.
